Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026. Your privacy is protected by design, not just by promise.
1. The Zero-Upload Guarantee
Unlike traditional SaaS applications, RealCSVTools operates as a static client-side web application. All parsing, validation, sorting, filtering, and file generation code is downloaded to your browser upon loading the page. The data you process never leaves your local hardware.
2. What We Collect (And What We Don't)
What we DO NOT collect:
- We do not collect, view, or log your file names, headers, cells, or row contents.
- We do not maintain databases of converted spreadsheets.
- We do not require user accounts, passwords, email addresses, or payment details.
What we may collect automatically:
- Standard, anonymous web traffic metrics (such as aggregate page views, browser type, and country) provided by privacy-conscious static web hosting to monitor uptime and bandwidth.
3. GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA Compliance
Because your files and any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or Protected Health Information (PHI) within them are never transmitted over the internet or stored by us:
- No Third-Party Processing: RealCSVTools acts as a software tool on your local machine, not a data processor or data controller of your file content.
- Zero Data Residency Concerns: Because your data never leaves your device, international data transfer restrictions do not apply.
4. Local Storage and Browser Cache
RealCSVTools may use standard browser caching for web fonts, scripts, and stylesheets to make subsequent visits load instantly. No user data or converted documents are saved to persistent local storage unless you explicitly initiate a download to your device's storage.
5. Security Recommendations
While our application provides client-side privacy, you should always ensure you are using a secure, up-to-date web browser and operating system to protect against local malware or unauthorized browser extensions on your own computer.
6. Changes to this Policy
If we make changes to our operational policies or services, updates will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
